Furneux Pelham Village Hall Public Liability Insurance

At the meeting of the village hall management committee on 29th November 2007 it was voted unanimously that any events where entertainers of any description are contracted (including children's entertainers and bouncy castles, discos, live bands or any other entertainer) where equipment of any description not belonging to the village hall is brought into the village hall, then the entertainer must carry at least £1,000,000 of public liability insurance.

Not only must he carry the insurance but must produce the minimum of a photocopy of the policy document proving that the policy is in force and up to date. Failure to produce such a document will prevent the entertainer from appearing in Furneux Pelham Village Hall. As an additional safeguard to the village hall management Committee, the keys will not be given to the hirer until such documents are produced. In order to make sure this requirement is complied with, the documents must be provided seven days before the event takes place.

As the above is a legal requirement there can be no exceptions. Pease note that this also applies where the entertainment is provided without gain.
