Red-legged Partridge
The Red-legged Partridge (Alectoris rufa) has a black and white speckled throat, greyish wing covers with bold black flank stripes.  The soft chesnut colour of the body is broken by a white patch across the chest. The legs and circle around the eyes  is more a bright orange than the red it's name suggests.

This species was introduced to the UK from continental Europe, where it is commonly found in France and Spain.
